The Period I of OPWC was totally dominated by one player, a shark from Romania who didn’t stop until he crushed all marks set by his rivals and countrymen. Claudiu A.K.A “4Soul” made it to the first position of the whole ranking and became the undisputed winner of the first phase. The News Team had the pleasure to dialogue with him about this amazing victory and this is what he kindly shared with us.

- We are happy to have great players like you participating in the championship. Your competitors and Facebook Fans are eager to know more about the flaming Period I winner; please tell us How did your poker career start? How was that first poker experience?
- My first contact with poker was now 5 years ago in 2007 when I was a student. I found it myself searching on internet. I downloaded one with big rating site, Fulltilt Poker, and I started playing freerolls. Every day, after my school activity, I played and I started to study. In 5-6 weeks I made more than $50 and I withdrew to see if it worked “for real” and I received my money 3 days later. The 4th day was my birthday, so I was pretty proud! This thing for me was the biggest step and I couldn't stop there...
- You’re the winner of your Whole Continent during Period I; how do you feel about it?
- Is a good feeling, it doesn't matter how much time I spend. I guess this has been the strongest period of SNGs in my life. It doesn't matter how much money I win, what is important is to be the ONE! This poker ranking work gave me the feeling that I can better organize my style in sessions which I usually made.
The OPWC gives an instant spot in the Continental Team (NO Elimination battle needed) to the player who finishes two periods in a row as the best of his continent. Are you going to win this period again to qualify directly for the OPWC Main Event?

- I feel like I work for something bigger... not just money - that comes and goes sooner than we can understand! THIS IS A GOOD MOTIVATION! In any job we need motivation, and here I found it :D
- What is your strongest skill in the game, that ability which makes you have better results than the rest of competitors?
- That’s a secret :P all i must tell you is that you must have a lot of beer in your fridge, one big monitor and the perfect music!
