There’s no other way to reach the summit of the world’s ranking than adding units to your personal score; you have the chance to do this all year round, during 6 time frames called Periods. After the 6th period of the qualification season ends, special tournaments called Eliminations are run to define the finest players, who will also represent their continents in the OPWC Main Event.
Periods
There’s plenty of spice in the OPWC, that’s why each Period ends with Period Final Tournaments where different prizes are given to the top performing players.
Period Targets:
1) Become the best Performing Player of your Continent in the Period Ranking to take part in the Elimination.
2) Try to finish the Period in the Top 50% ranked Participants, to play for extra Prizes in the Period Final

Eliminations
Eliminations will be held after every second Period. The Best Players of each Continent during this time frame, face each other in a series of 5 Heads Up tourneys where the winner takes a spot in his Continental Team.

Main Event
The Main Event is the dream every Participant of the Online Poker World Championship wants to live. The Main Event consists of 3 Tournaments played at the end of a season. Every Continental Team has to send one member into each of these Tournaments and the Team with the overall best Performance on the 3 battles become the Online Poker World Champion and the members get a sponsoring Contract which will vary depending on the Membership the Players own on the website.
After such an awesome victory the champions become the new Team OPWC for one year with full benefits.
