The World Poker Tour made a stop at Casablanca, Morocco and the Main Event was taken down by the Italian Giacomo Fundaro. The €3,500 re-entry no-limit hold’em tournament reached 146 participants and the prizepool was destined to the Top 18.

Davidi Kitai had the leadership when the Final Table began, but Fundaro made an incredible double-up which skyrocketed his race for the title and allowed him to play more comfortably. Online poker players were very well represented by Jeremy Nock (left) who finished third and Clement Beauvois (right) who made it to the fifth position leaving the flag of the online grinders way up in such an important contest.

The last battle face to face was between Fundaro and the old school style professional Frederic Brunet and it lasted 2 hour and a half. The final moment arrived with a short-stacked Brunet who pushed his Q♥ 9♥ to get called by A♠ 3♥ the happiness of the Italian burst when he saw the ace come on the flop and give him the coveted victory.
