Several players have set the pace of the Online Poker World Championship; some of them slowly and steadily and some others have been chasing the leadership like wild hunters taking down rivals and rivals on their way to the top. That’s the case of our Special Guest today; since he joined he has been climbing positions with no mercy and is actually trying to take the top spots of the whole ranking.
We had the chance to share thoughts with one of the top players in the ranking: Ariel A.K.A “mygameisgarbage” Like remoras we swam some time very close to this shark and this is what he told us:
-Hi Ariel, the OPWC is pleased to have a player of your talent taking a shot at the World Title. The community is eager to know about you, tell us how did you start playing poker?
-I started playing poker to pass time. A friend of mine was an avid player and often invited me to play. I started as a complete fish and developed my own play style quickly.
-What was the reason for which you continued playing?
-I found it to be very enjoyable and challenging. All of the facets of the game and how situational it is allowed it to never get old for me.
-What are your goals as an online poker player?
-Better my strategy and general play.
-How did you come to the OPWC?
-I saw the link on Facebook. I was already a player on Carbon so I decided to see if I could be competitive in the tournament.
-What do you like about the OPWC?
-I like the fact that someone can compete and get their name out there without having to invest a large sum of money.
-What are your expectations in the World Championship?
-I hope to play consistently well and continue to move forward through the qualifying.
-Any special anecdote about your nickname on the tables?
-I feel like my game has developed from garbage to slightly better than garbage.
-Hahaha modesty is a quality of the Great. You seem to advance pretty quickly towards the top of the ranking, how do you do it?
-Discipline, patience, and knowing when to fold.
-On which of the accepted poker rooms can we find you and what tourneys do you usually play?
-I'm usually on Carbon's small stakes sit & go's 10 Man Double Ups
-Do you have any comments for the competitors?
-I wish them the best of luck, may their game not be garbage, and go Team USA!!
Thank you Ariel for letting us know a little bit more about your life. The OPWC wishes you good luck and we hope you reach all your goals.
