The players in the chase for the Online Poker World Championship have been crushing sit n’ go tournaments since the competition started; 25 days still left to finish the first period and the whole world has been witnessing the development and swings of the ranking. The current leaders of each Continent try to keep their positions with patience and discipline although the attacks are constant and stronger as days pass.
The National Heroes of the moment are as follows:
Leading the competition in the name of Germany with an amazing 216 point total we have the flaming leader of Team Europe: “jackbauerAK” who has been on top of the World Ranking for a couple of weeks holding the crown tight against the aggressors. Four North Americans have been trying to take him down, one blow after another, but Wolfgang is still there with his fists up.
On second place leading the North American Team we have Jason, better known in the OPWC as “Gunsblazzin” when nobody expected it, this online shark took command of the USA Squad and has been adding units during the last days at a quick rhythm shortening the advantage of the German from almost 70 points to just over 20… will he be able to dethrone the mighty European Player?
Leading the South American Team we have “Trytokill” who recovered some positions and placed himself on the 6th spot of the general leaderboard. The Brazilian grinder has been quiet and took a little break, but it seems like he came back for more and he has been bringing points home at a steady pace. We will surely hear from this player in the coming days.
A serious threat for the rest of the participants is the leader of the Africa-Asia-Australia Team: “oMUZZAo” who joined not long ago but is now on the 7th position just 2 points behind the 6th and 5th. Mario has been trying to place his team even higher but has found some resistance. Will he be able to defeat his rivals and carry the Australian flag to the summit of the World Scores?
The OPWC News Team will keep you up to speed about the exciting action, just stay tuned and remember: Stop playing Poker without being ranked at the Online Poker World Championship
